Lecture. (Formerly PHED 3400) Course provides an overview of bodies of knowledge and methodology in the field of Physical Education as well as their application to elementary physical education. This course is designed to provide the classroom teacher with a knowledge base in elementary physical education curriculum planning, motor development and appropriate selection of physical activities for children. Included are labs and field experiences in an elementary school setting. Prerequisite: BIOL 1010/1020, ZOOL 2250, ZOOL 2235. Limited to junior and senior Kinesiology and Liberal Studies majors.
