Lecture. An introduction to physics and the ways in which different aspects of the subject are combined in designing many of the machines and appliances which are in common everyday usage. Satisfies G.E. area UD-B. Upper Division G.E. courses are designed to be taken after upper-division status (completion of 60 semester units) is attained. (Lecture, 3 hours)
