Lecture. Painting, sculpture, and architecture in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries. Major artists from Italy, Spain, and Northern Europe include Bernini, Caravaggio, Rubens, Rembrandt, and Vermeer. Satisfies G.E. area UD-C. Upper Division G.E. courses are designed to be taken after upper-division status (completion of 60 semester units) is attained. Prerequisites: ART 2520 or ART 2530 or consent of instructor.
