PHIL 4050 001 Environmental Ethics

Lecture. Introduction to theoretical and practical developments in the field of environmental ethics. Reflection on the role of world views, economic, aesthetic, scientific, and political factors on decisions affecting the environment. May include a service learning component. Satisfies G.E. area UD-C. Cluster course in the G.E. Summit Program (Waking up to Nature: Ethics, Ecology, and Restoration Practices). Upper Division G.E. courses are designed to be taken after upper-division status (completion of 60 semester units) is attained. Prerequisite: Consent of Summit Program Coordinator.
