Laboratory. Machine-level data representation and operation, assembly language programming, basic digital logic, CPU datapath and control unit, memory organization, instruction set architecture, instruction formats, addressing modes, subroutine linkage, macros, I/O, and interrupts. Prerequisite: CS 2500. (Lecture, 2 hours; laboratory, 2 hours)
