CS 3550 001 Intro to Computational Think

Lecture. Introduction to a few major topics in computing: Algorithms, Abstractions, and Social Impacts. The topics are placed in a real-world context by exploring real-world science and engineering challenges. The course teaches some basic programming and also goes beyond coding to teach computational thinking. Course is aimed at non-computing majors who have no prior computing experience. Satisfies G.E. area UD-2. Upper Division G.E. courses are designed to be taken after upper-division status (completion of 60 semester units) is attained.

Course Notes
Hybrid Online - Synchronous. In-person class meetings will be on campus at the room, day, and time listed. Online class meetings will be at the day and time listed. Students must be available at the class times listed in the Class Schedule, and must attend in person on days indicated as such by the professor. Dr. Koh will be sending email with additional information to the enrolled students.
